Ok I think you and I were in the same boat. First of all no amount of pain killers, heating pads or teas worked. Here's what worked for me. After switching different birth control pills, I found Loestrin which helped a ton. Also my doctor suggested that I take potassium and iron pills, because you lose a lot of that while you're on your period. THAT TOTALLY HELPED!! I also have learned that maybe a few days before your period, keeping your lower abdomen warm helps. Ok this is going to sound super weird but it's true. Around the area where your ovaries are, is very sensitive. If you don't keep it warm before your period, (i know this will sound strange but stay with me) your ovaries get like a cold. Kind of like getting chest cold or head cold. Your ovaries, if exposed to colder weather, (wearing ultra low rise and low shirts right before your period) will be cold therefore cause you a lot of pain and no amount of warming up will help. I know it sounds funny but it's been worknig for me. I'm not even on BC pills anymore. I just keep that area warm a few days before and I still have discomfort but I'm not throwing up or crying from pain.

P.S. DON'T SKIP A PERIOD OR ANY OF YOUR PILLS. I CHECKED WITH 3 DOCTORS AND THEY ALL SAID YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE CONCEIVING CHILDREN IF YOU CONTINUOUSLY SKIP PERIODS BY NOT TAKING THE PLACEBO PILLS. They help cut the hormones out of your body quicker so your period can run it's course before you're back on the regular BC cycle.
