I've been round a few times with my neices husband. Thank God, they live out of town, so Adonis hasn't had to deal with their rockwiler very often.

He has a rock...about 1 year old now. Dogs name is Max. Max wants to play with Adonis, but dang, max is 110 lbs! Max plays too rough. Neices hubby wants Max to be around other dogs, lol. Adonis sits on the back of the sofa when we visit, lol. And when we go off, I put Adonis in the bedroom, away from Max. I wouldn't even go there, but my Mom is 93, and lives with neice out there.

Now my baby sis has some dogs, Adonis loves to go play with. They are larger dogs, but nothing as near as large as a 110 lb rockwiler! I know these dogs well, and they are all sweethearts.

Max still needs a lot of time spent with him, socializing. But I'm not about to use Adonis as the gunnie pig! I keep them as separated as I can when I'm out there. Last trip, I swore after Max was all over me, I'd never go back. I picked up a piece of newspaper, swatted him on the butt once...he ran...neices hubby got all over me. I didn't hurt Max, but the newspaper got his attention, where "down Max" and pushing him off me wasn't working.

I have a friend out there now, and I been staying with her, when I want to see my Mother.

A Rottie playing with a Yorkie..that sounds dangerous and scary. Glad you put your baby in the bedroom when you left the house. One wrong step on Rottie's end..the Yorkie is crushed. Forgive me for straying a little, I am really scared of Rotties myself not to say a small Yorkie! I had one who nearly bit my neck because the owner didn't put him on leash and I could never forget that moment up till this day. That Rottie ended up biting someone and was taken by the animal control officer although I think the one that should be punished is the owner for not putting his dog on a leash.
