If you don't have neutra-cal....seems someone here said kayro (sp?) syrup.
But I'd certainly buy some neutra-cal. My breeder sent home a tube of it with me, and I've used it several times.
Maybe your pup isn't quite weened yet. I had to teach Venus how to drink from a bowl. I'd dip my fingers in it...let her lap it off my fingers...as I'd slowly move my fingers closer to the bowl. This took a day or 2 of doing this and she learned.
I'd also mix some high quality canned food in with the dry food for the first week or so. Pup might also just eat the canned and leave the dry right now.
Not knowing how old your dog is...its kinda hard to tell on some things. I got Venus at 8 weeks, and she certainly wasn't ready for all dry food that first week. |
