definitely not, I would look into a few different breeds if that is what you are interested in. Maltese's are wonderful, just beware of their coat. It is SO hard to take care of, it might not seem like it but their hair is TOTALLY different than a yorkie and a yorkie/maltese mix. It is so soft it is PURE cotton and right now Maya is going to the groomer tomorrow because she needs to be shaved. I went out of town for one weekend and she wasnt brushed and now her entire coat is ruined with mats. They arent mats like yorkies where you can pull apart at them, I cant even explain them. The tear stains arent hard to take care of, it really is just the coat (which dont let that discourage you from a Maltese) its just if you dont feel like you have the time to groom her consistently everyday than it might not be the best idea. Maltese's and yorkies are definitely my dog, especially because they dont shed and I have allergies! If I were looking I would possibly also look into a bichon, and maltese/poodle (their coats are a lot easier to take care of and ou probably could get one for cheaper than a purebred yorkie or maltese). Just some suggestions, you will fall in love with whatever you get
