I think its hard to say, I have 3 and would even get a 4th! It was a lot easier with one, but I think once you have 2 it is really no different having 3 (atleast for me) It is better because if one doesnt want to play and wants to rest, there is another one to keep the other company. Its not like yorkies eat a lot, but the only thing that would worry me is the emergency situations which I guess you always have to be "prepared" for, going to the vet for emergencies. the more you have the more risk you might end up at the vet. I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a dog lover, both our sets of parents try to make us feel guilty but when you are self supporting and independent you can make your own choices. I think its great that you are trying to think about it rationally and see all points of view. I have a feeling that you will go for it no matter what You know in your hear that you want one and I was the same way when we got our 3rd! I posted on another forum saying how I wanted 3 what did people think. I got mixed responses, waited about 2 weeks and posted again, I knew what I wanted and there was nothing that was going to stop me Im so glad we got our Maya maltese! I would probably get a 4th if Mike would let me, I could really have a million but they do demand A LOT of attention and we do give them all the attention that they need so I dont think it would be fair to get a 4th.

Also, 6 months is definitely not too old to introduce another puppy!
