wow..that is scary. can you put him in his crate before opening the door or have a tall puppy gate or something at the main door area so that he will not be able to dash out like that? it is a good thing that you guys are safe but do be careful. I live in a condo so I don't have that problem but i could imagine if we move to a landed property..it is scary!
