Hi all.....Cooper is 4 months and has recently begun being allowed to spend more time in the house (we crate train). He has been doing very well, however, when he goes back into his room (with baby gate) or into crate he has been barking/crying. Im guessing its because he wants to be with us in the house as he has been earning more time, but he is still in training and needs to be in there a bit. I used the pennies in a can trick today and shook it once. It worked!!!!! Cooper went right into his crate and stopped barking. I went in a half hour later to change laundry and played with him for a bit. When i left he began barking. I walked over and got the can...when he saw me coming with it he went right into crate again....no barking. I'm sure hoping this continues as it has worked wonders. I would encourage others to try this method as well.
