Another thought is applying through rescue. So many dogs not just Yorkies need homes. Lastly, I'll just reiterate what everyone else has already said; The initial cost in obtaining a Yorkies is NOTHING as compared to the cost of upkeep. They are high maintance dogs. Yorkies are prone to bad teeth and need their teeth cleaned yearly through a vet, which will run a minimum of $250. There is also the expense of shots, heartworm preventative, etc and spay/neuter. Grooming is another expense and can run you $50 or more every six weeks. Lastly, Yorkies are not for everyone. Yes, they are adorable but they are not the easiest dog to train. Smart but stubborn and some NEVER potty train. Please, think before you act and if you do decide that you can provide the time and cost involved with owning a Yorkie, please consider rescue.
