So i decided to pick Gia up some shampoo & conditioner the total came to 30 bucks but I thought I was doing the right thing (using better shampoo & conditioner would help her coat)

Well, that same night I came home & washed her, her coat was so pretty & shiny I was real happy with the results

Well, about two days later Gia starts to scratch & scratch. Something told me to get a look at her scalp. Once I looked I also screamed to the top of my lungs !!!!! She had red bumps and dandruff all throughout her scalp

So I gave her another bath using the regular shampoo & conditioner I had used before thinking it may clam things down, I even put neosporin on her scalp. It helped for that night but it was back to scratching the next day

So I went to PETCO & brought dandruff shampoo, the shampoo helped with her dandruff but she still had the red bumps & still was scratching

Yesterday I noticed she still was scratching but now she begin to whine & when I put her in my arms her body was so warm & her skin was so inflamed, I called the vet today they don't have an appointment available until tom morning (that's to long of a wait, my baby is in pain)

The receptionist suggested I go back to PETCO & get some tea tree spray to help Gia stop scratching, well it's work but the bumps are still there (it smells horrible too)

Hopefully when I go to the vet tom they will make her all better. She really hasn't been playing much just sleeping (she still is eating though). i notice her ears are real red in the inside & her eyes rims are also red. i think she had an allergic reaction to the shampoo

I hope she will be better tom. I feel so bad, I threw the shampoo & conditioner out.
Sounds like an allergic reaction to something in the shampoo. You could give her some liquid Childrens Benedryl to calm the burning and itching. 1CC for a 5 lbs dog is fine.
Some years ago I used a new dematting spray on my Liana. Over time she was coughing and choking but was so gradual I couldn't pinpoint what she was reacting to. After a few Vet visits then realizing the new thing in the house was the spray, I threw it out bathed her a couple of times and she was fine ever since. She had actually reached the point of difficulty in breathing. Scared me to death.
