Like you, i went thru some things here too when i first joined. I am an avid reader of all the forums on this site and i have learned that there are a handful of people that will always attack a new breeder under the guise of educating. pay no mind and just continue what you are doing with your research and your mentor. Good luck with your search and if I, in my very limited knowledge, can help in any way, just pm me.
I have to say I think the people who are seen as "negative" are honest caring people. I don't think they have a hidden agenda. I was helped by some of these people through email. They were very helpful and nice. I don't think if they told us what we want to hear, rather then their honest opinion, they would be doing us any favors. I wish I had help in more aspects of life from people who have been there and done that. It is a great privilege to get help from people who have paved the road for others to follow. If more people would take their advice there would be less sick and homeless pups out there. I am not judging anyone!!! I don't have any intentions to now or in the future voice an opinion, I do not know enough myself.
