My story goes like this...my family always had dogs when I was growing up..never a Yorkie..we had a few Spitz and a Shih-Tzu..all of them are either strays or adopted. We never paid anything for them and we spent all of the money for better food and toys and vaccinations etc. They actually eat good human food and all of them lived very long. They all passed away due to old age. So I just got married this year and my husband works long hours and I find myself being on my own most of the time. It gets pretty lonely and I always missed having dogs because I have always been a dog person. I love all dogs but I am afraid of BIG dogs like Rottweilers, Dobermans due to a bad childhood experience...one nearly bit my neck/throat. So I came up with Maltese, Yorkie, West Highland White Terrier, Papillon, Pekingese, Shih-Tzu, Chihuahua, Cairn Terrier, Silky Terrier and I wish I could have all of them

but to cut the story short, my hubby who never had a dog before insists that he wants a Yorkie and nothing else and so, that is how we got stuck with a Yorkie and we love him dearly. He did cost some money as we are not able to adopt from Yorkie Rescue here due to us living in a condo but I sure love my baby very very much! We also do not plan to have a child so I guess our furbaby is always going to be our only baby!
