If you decide, definetly get it done as soon as you can. The blood flow is a lot less when they're little. I personally have two boys without their tail and another that came from Germany with tail, and to tell you the truth, the tail is adorable. So much expression is relayed with it. But if you are going to sell here in the USA, truthfully, probably more people want one without a tail, don't know why, but I guess we're a little more hung up on standards. But what really is standard, they're born with one, no? When I was looking to buy, I came across a breeder who didn't dock the tail and I wasn't turned off by it but then they said the they like the "natural" feel and then they also told me that they hadn't had any of the shots either, "natural". That told me that they were just CHEAP! They didn't want to put any money into the pup. Needless to say, I didn't go look. Good luck with whatever you decide...Theresa & The Boys
