My Tyson is enrolled at Petsmart puppy class they take them at 10weeks and we had him in there to the day..now I thought tht there would be some young pups in there..however I was a bit suprised.......when we came in we were seated right next to the 4month old GREAT DANE...........which in Petsmarts book does qualify for the puppy class, but anyways, I looked at the suggested website and tht was the first thing they thought th epups and like I said Ty was just 10weeks and he was sitting on day 1, we tried down last week and because Ty is little when he is sitting he is almost down, so tht trick is better for the bigger dogs, we worked on leave it, which is wht you say to your pup when they are on there way to get into something they are not supposed to and then they learned drop it, thts when leave it didnt work and they now have it in there mouth, last week was the 1st week they had free time all the dogs together and Tyson did not want to do learning just playtime so when the teacher was teaching commands and tricks Ty went and say in her lap and tried to scam treats out of her treat bag tht was latched on her belt, and I hate to say it but he is a cute Yorkie so of course the teacher fell in love with him day one and she babys the heck out of him and uses him on all the demos, all the other dogs are 4-5months so I dont need to tell you the yorkie is the teachers pet and the hit of Petsmart, but keep in touch or keep this thread bumbed and every WED when we get home from school I let you know ht we were taught and if you want to know I will givew you the instructions, Yorkies are very smart even though he didnt participate in class, he caught up with his homework and is doing very well....keep in touch, they are fast learners even if they are over a year.....Happy monday
