I think that once he realizes you won't be spending $1500 on a pup, if you buy one locally, he will probably not be so upset by it. Be like me, I told my fiance when I was coaxing him into the thought of us getting a pup...well I get lonely when you are at work (we work different shifts) that kinda worked for me LOL
