So far... its working like a charm!!!
First major road block??? Pixies MAJOR BARKING ISSUE!!!! She barked for 6 hours non stop!!!! She was killing me!!!!!!! Then my sister in law came over and gave me the 10 cents speech... I thought she was full of it!!!! WRONG!!!!! Best 10 cents I ever spent!!! Pixie has not barked in 3 days!!! Well maybe a tiny test now and then... but a quick correction with the can and its done!!! Works like a charm!!! And to think.. i was ready to throw in the towel!!!!
I am a believer now!!!!!!
So... for you who have done the strict crate training.... how do you transition from crate to free dog... who is crated when your gone and at night..... but has freedom during the day when your home....????? How long? how'd ya do it????? Help me out! And keep in mind... mine are a year old! |
You definitely have to share the 10 cent speech with me... PM me if you'd like, or just reply in this forum. Because Ferdinand is HORRIBLE with that when we put him in his crate. And he's relentless! So PLEASE, please share what worked so well to get Pixie to quit barking!
Thanks!
I'm going to start the doggie boot camp tonight. Could be pretty interesting... we're lucky though because 90% of our house is 2' x 2' stone tile except for the bedrooms. So cleanup is easy.
