I am one of those people who wants their little Yorkie's ears up and as erect as can be. To me, these perky little ears are what make a Yorkie look like a Yorkie.

BUT - like a lot of you - My little guy has trouble from time to time keeping his up and running.

When he was a pup (8 wks old) -- his ears went straight up to heaven. And, then like most young Yorkies, they went up and down for a while - but finally decided to stay up.

HOWEVER - lately his ears have completely flopped. (He's a year old). I mean they are down down down. I think he's darling and cute this way -but he definitely does not look like a Yorkie to me.

So - I really gave his ears a haircut - and as they did once before with a haircut, they are moving back up again.

So - there must really be some truth to some Yorkie's hair weighing their ears down.

I'm going to keep his ears trimmed and see what his ears do. Time will tell!
