If he doesn't like the litter try putting the pee pads in the litter box. that is what I use.

I heard that simple solution has a spray that will entice them to go on the pad.

But first of all I would confine him to a smaller area until he gets the idea.

It takes loads and loads of patience, and just because they are trained in one persons house does not mean they are trained in every house. they also might be trained in the kitchen but not the livng room.

what makes common sense to us is not what makes sense to them. they just know where they are not allowed to pee, everything else is fair game.

So they think Oh OK you don't want me to pee here, then I'll pee over there. or I can't pee here but no one said I couldn't poop here.

They're not real logical. they only know what they have been taught.
