I don't ask Loki to dance because of his luxating patella, but we used to get my friend's ShihTzus to do it by holding up a treat. For roll over just get her to lie down and then help roll her over and give her a treat. Act all excited like she did it on her own. We tried to lure Loki but he can twist so far that he never had to roll over to get the treat. We ended up just helping him, but it worked!
And don't be surprised if your pup tries her new tricks for you even when you don't ask. Loki will try to get a treat by rolling over or waving to me randomly. We saw my little cousin today and he started crawling and waving and rolling all over trying to get his attention. It was SO cute. |
