We paid £200 for Lucy which is about $370 and that was 3 years ago. I don't care if she is show quality or not. We knew she came from a good breeder as she has relatives in our area and they are all fine dogs. IMO I think some of these prices are too big and I would only consider purchasing a $5000 dog if I was planning on showing in huge shows and breeding. I do understand that raising show quality dogs must cost a lot and expenses must be recouped somewhere but I dont think we could have got a better dog if we had paid $10000 or more. I mean no offence to anyone, this is just my opinion
