i had a semi-similar situation.. except it involved soft food. when layla was teething she coudln't crunch her hard food so i just gave her soft and when it came time to bring back the hard food.. she wnated nothing to do with it. i just left her hard food out and i figure when she was hungry enough.. she'd eat it.. but you might want to try the dog gravy. might add something "special" to the food and your dog will be happier to eat it..
