Hi Maggiepie - I know your question is for Orinskye, but I wanted to encourage you. I paid $475 for my AKC registered male Yorkie in Chicago. The prices here are usually around $900-$1000 for a female and a hundred or so less for a male. If you want a female, you should be prepared to spend a bit more Orinskye and I did for our males.
Stewie was originally more money, but the breeder told me that he has dry skin and that he would be willing to sell him for less to me. Plus, Stewie and I really bonded at his house and he WANTED me to have him and knew that I would take good care of him. I was prepared to spend about $700-$800 for a pet quality male and got lucky. Stewie is within the breed standard - his fault being a white spot on his chin and chest and has a silky coat. Keep looking. You'll find her.
