I would be so made that I would be spitting up nails.....
But - I can say that I never write checks against any personal check that someone has given me - until it clears. The only exception to this might be a check from my daughter or sister, etc.
I'm sure you'll never do this again...
And - I see nothing wrong with personal checks and accepting them -- if you're willing to wait until they clear before you complete any transaction.
Sorry - and again --- I would be mad too. But I guarantee it would never happen to me again...
