| Roxie, Diva and Yorkie Rose Thank you so much for responding first thing in your morning. All normal Yorkies were probably sleeping when I posted the problem.
Roxie Jo's Mom: I love your attempt at putting it 'delicately'. I'm pretty sure it's not a 'partial' because it's normal both before and after the lump. Thanks for the reply, and Mikie thinks Roxy Jo is a "really hot babe" . Yep, those were exactly the words he used to describe her. I suppose Mikie is still eager to please as it's probably the only thing he got praise for in the past. Maggie set him straight from the start it's no problem. Plus he can't catch her . He goes for everything else on four legs though.
Diva Puppy and Yorkie Rose: I'm glad it's something simple and normal. You sound pretty certain and that's reassuring. I searched high and low for info on it while waiting, and found nothing. Nada.
I should mention that urinating is what starts his return to normal. It takes a while, but it's clearly better after he's marked a few spots outside. It's not like he's holding it while in the crate, because, well, he doesn't. As a matter of fact, it's the only place he will pooh. Hmm, maybe I'll start moving it towards the door where the wee pads are.
No, he's not fixed yet. I've only had him 3 1/2 weeks now and he's been too sick. But we've got his blood work out of the way. Once he's de wormed, I'll ask the clinic about it. Sadly ( and that 'wouldn't you know it' timing ) Maggie's tearing her skin up so I've been treating her wounds twice daily ( though, I think I can drive now and get her some children's benadryl (sp?) - we all have fleas - . When it rains it pours. Mikie had to stay in his crate alot. And I just knew there was a mess in there when I crawled to the bathroom. I could see his little face looking up at me - and you KNOW what a Yorkie can do with that face. I feel so very guilty. The toilet broke this morning too. I need some serious ice cream. And a plumber. Wait, a maid first, because we can't have the plumber seeing the place like this.. HELP !
Thanks for the welcome. You're very kind. I would love to be able to read something about this gland thing . Do any of you know where I would begin to search for it ? Some type of veterinary guide or keyword ?
Thanks again. I'll check back for more info.
