Anyway, when I got him he was about 8 weeks old (which looking back was rather young, but it was love at first sight )His hair was super short at that time, and I assumed it would grow as he got older. Sirprise, surprise it hasn't grown all that much, he's starting to look a little shaggy on the body and he's finally starting to grow a little hair on his face, but it's far from what one would expect for a typical yorkie. The vet expressed some concern, stating he may be a mix of a yorkie and a chihuahua, which upset me at first, only because i payed full yorkie price for the little guy. However, when I contacted the breeder she assured me that he is a pure bred, and that all yorkies are different (duh--i know that) and that some just have short hair, little anomalies. I really want to believe her, and at this point it almost doesn't matter because I'm attached to him, but I'd really like to know. I
guess my question for you all is if anyone has heard of anything like this
before, a yorkie with shorter hair. I'm soure it's possible, but I'd just like to know your thoughts on this. Thanks so much fo your time!

He is only 3 months old- give him time to grow a coat- I have a couple lines that look like frizzy rats till they are 8 to 12 months old and then its coat to the floor by the time they are 18 months.

Come on just enjoy the baby- the rest will fall in place.
