Lexi is being spayed on Dec. 14th. I'm so worried about her. Having had a couple of surgeries myself I know how painful the recovery can be. Hearing your experience made me a little less apprehensive in that I have a little window into what to expect. We had a pre-operation vet's visit and I told him that I was so worried about her following the operation because she get's crazy when we come in and out of the house. She goes nuts jumping and jumping and jumping and jumping (well you get the idea). And then when my daughter gets home from college on weekends she goes absolutely nuts. He said she'd have a morphine patch to help with pain control and that would keep her a bit quieter. Hope so. So glad to hear your pup is doing better - spaying is the best choice for them - for longevity of life...that's what we're after.
