Call around to different groomers and find one that will allow you to be the first appt and then picked up immediately after...I did this and she kept Cooper for an hour and a half. I didn't wan't him in a cage all day. However, if the lady that comes to your house is doing a good job, you might consider keeping her, despite her lateness. I have taken my dog to two groomers...the first shaved him...I was horrified and the 2nd one (that let me come first thing and then I picked him right up) I think all she did was give him a bath and wave the scissors over him. If I could find someone to come to my house and they did a good job, I would wait all day (if necessary) for that
I haven't taken Cooper to a groomer since (I can do as good a job as the two I have been to) and Carley came to me with a very short cut and she is taking forever to grow
