Olivia Kharis-
I can't help you much with how to deal with the hair but I know there are ways to cut down on it. I think some of the smoother coated shedding breeds are groomed alot with slicker brushes and de-shedding brushes like we used to use on our horses to strip off the dead hair. My mom's boxers shed a little but I never notice any hair on her furniture, ect. But knowing my mom she vacuums it alot. We had a blue heeler (cattle dog) when I was younger and she only came in the garage and basement, but she DID shed all over the couch that was in the basement. My cairn/mixed terrier as a child shedded and so did my australian sheperd. I noticed him shedding alot more when he wasn't as active though...his hip was broken once and he had to lay in the living room on a bed spread for several weeks. Alot of hair came off him just by laying on it constantly I think.
I loved all on my mom's boxer yesterday who is sick (the one I mentioned in a post above) and hardly any hairs got on my dark blue t-shirt.
I've really taken a liking to some larger breeds. I guess by being around them alot lately, it's brought back child hood memories for me. Maybe someday...
This is my Mom and Elmo taken couple months ago. He doens't look like the same dog now...he is so skinny towards his rear; almost looks like he is "shrinking" in his mid section. Very sad for her and my step dad.
