Hey everyone... I need suggestions. Here is our delimna... Mia, our 1.5 yr old yorkie gets groomed by a lady that comes to our home. We are now looking into taking Mia to an actual grooming facility (because the lady who grooms Mia has a hard time fitting us in her schedule & she is ALWAYS running like an hour - 2 hours LATE!!! It has become quite an inconvenience). Here is the problem... Mia HATES getting groomed. She acts so terribly for the groomer (we have even tried leaving the house while she gets groomed...thinking she would be better if we weren't around. Nope, still a "wild woman"- the groomer says). I am really over protective of her, & hesitant to take her to an actual grooming facility, in fear she will act up, I won't be able to see how they treat her, she will be under much more stress b/c she is in an unfamiliar place, & I don't like the fact that at most places I have to drop her off early morning, & not pick her up until afternoon. Should I just let go a little & trust the groomers, or continue having the lady come to our home???? Do any of you have a yorkie that stresses so badly over being groomed...& what do you do? ANY suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!
