The most misinformed sentence in my opinion is "I want to do what is best for my dog so I give vacs to be safe" Vacs are not safe and should only be given when needed. Performing a titer test is actually more expensive than getting the shot, but if you really care about the health of your dog you will start researching this matter. There is only one rabies shot made it is labeled three year or one year, but it is the same exact vaccine. Pfizer has done research and know that rabies vaccines last for 3 years!

If you love your dog then here is a "couple" of articles to start with, but the internet is full of information.
