There are titer tests for dogs and cats! Not sure how expensive this would be though. And from what I have heard the official protocol was supposed to have changed about two years ago...all puppy boosters then again at one year and then every two years and after a certain age -I think- around six no more except for rabies. I follow this! They are over vaccinated otherwise!! I have yet to run into a vet yet though - especially old school ones - who have gone to this. I personally do ALL of shots myself and as long as you have the documentation that's all you need for boarding or whatever!!
