I had a pomeranian for about 2 years but gave it away to my sister because of the shedding. The shedding is not bad but they do shed a lot. I was constantly vacuuming my carpet, my sofa and my bed. Pomeranian's are not high maintenance, they are pretty much satisfied if you show them little attention.
BTW, if you or someone that live with you have serious allergies, pomeranians are not a good breed to bring in the home. I learned my lesson. If training is not provided, a pomeranian will bark and bark and bark. Other than that, they are pretty cute dogs. I don't know if it's really true but that's just what I've experienced.
