I just wanted to say that I have read the posts and wanted to say that it is one thing to ask for help and another for a handout. Yes - it is a fine line and yes maybe you should have chosen your words differently.
We are what I like to call a close family here. Many of us are stay at home moms trying our best to help ends meet. As for my story, hubby lost job in layoff. I have a 1yr old, 2yr old and a baby due in Dec. (Yes - all planned).
I am unable to work out of the house due to the rising costs of dayare in our area so what did I do?? I borrowed my moms old sewing machine and found a free pattern to start with and altered and sew sew sew. Now I help bring in $ to cover some bills. Yes, we still get some help from close friends etc rents 2 months past due - car is a month - no cable etc just the basics) but something is better than doing nothing.
We love our dogs and our familys and we do what we can to make ends meet.
It seems that with your low posts that you just joined our community and that you haven't taken the time to get to know us. Most everyone here (IMO) have caring hearts and help others in their times of need. Examp : A rescue dog needs a couple sweaters for winter... But to ask for handouts to resell and then ask again, thinking we are rude, Well...
best of luck to you in whatever venture you choose. I do suggest that picking something to make might be best in your situation. I know it's a struggle with the kids but think of my situation, I work pritty much from 9:30PM-1:00AM to get orders done and spend the days changing, playing and trying to market on local sites like Craigs List or EBay.
Find something you might like to do and start slow. There are Tons of things to try out there. You may be so set on one and once you start may decide you hate it - take your time.
Blessings and best of luck.
