I'm sorry for whatever financial troubles you are having... and unfortunatly I would have to agree that selling used puppy clothes probably isn't going to help your situation much. Most people on here who do have clothes they wouldn't mind parting with would much rather sell them on here themselves - afterall, we could all use a little extra cash.
If you are having financial troubles, I can't understand why you would even consider bringing another dog into your home - With two young children to provide for and a puppy, living paycheck to paycheck - it just doesn't seem like the ideal situation. And I'm not speaking of the initial purchase price - What about vet bills? Are you able to care for your dog... let alone TWO dogs.. should an emergency arise? Yes, two dogs are great company for each other - but maybe you should hold off for a bit until your situation is under control.
There are lots of ways to make money while working out of your home - you just have to be creative and resourceful. I think a doggy daycare is a great idea (if you're moving into a house). Are you creative or crafty? Can you sew, maybe start sewing your own dog clothes to sell? What about those online survey things (I hear some people do make money doing them)... I've always thought the best thing was to sit down and really think about what it is that you enjoy doing and then figure out how to make money doing it.
or.. maybe your husband will just have to put aside his feelings about babysitters or daycare so that you can work too - in tight situations sometimes you have to sacrifice.... right? Otherwise I'd be telling him to put in more hours and start bringing in some more money if he's so adamant about you staying home with the kids

.
I wish you luck
