I am sorry to hear about your baby but remember this...humans live without a kidney all the time. Here at Johns Hopkins Hosp, there was just a 3 way kidnet transplant and not one kidney came from a cadaver. That means that those humans are gonna spend the rest of their lives with only one kidney. I am not trying to second-guess your vet but the kidneys and ovaries are formed long before the time she was delivered by c-section. I would do some research and see at what age gestation those 2 organs form. Why? Because, any organ forming at the same time could have been affected due to the same condition that caused the lost organs.
I had a foster baby who had cleft palate and lip. Also, had webbed fingers and toes. When he needed surgery to repair his mouth, the doc discovered his heart was on the right side. Those organs all formed at the same time.
