Oh my goodness! How scary this all must have been for you! Do you have to give her nutrical for a while now until she is completely healed? I know that trauma and illness in humans can cause bloodsugar crashes or spikes followed by crashes and to be on the safe side, maybe that would be a good thing to do for her too?? I wonder, do they have glucagon for dogs? In case of major crash and shock? So you could inject to bring them right out of it and buy time to get to the vet for life support? I would think they should, if they don't...but then, I think every household should have epi pens and defibrilators too...I guess I am overly cautious! |
