Hello guys, Yesterday Cosita got spayed. I wanted to write an update on how she did.

After we brought her back from the Vet, she was very drowsy, and slept most of the time. When we picked her up, we immediately wrapped her up in a warm blanket since she was shivering.

They removed 8 teeth, and Vet said her skin (on her belly) has slightly rash and gave me some oils drops to put on her food. She just had a sip of water about 10 pm and went potty outside.

I could hear my poor girl moaning more than three times during the night. I put her bed between hubby and I so she would sleep with us. I used her bed as well so neither of us would roll over and asphyxiate her (you never know). I could barely sleep making sure she was alright. I wish I could just fix her pain.

About her stinky breath the Vet told me it was due to her seriously teething. She has probably blood but no infection. The good news is that a couple of days prior, my mother in law had told me about buying "Chlorophyll" (liquid) and squeeze three drops of it in her water. It would take about 24 hours before I'd start noticing the difference on her breath. Chlorophyll is good for bath breath, digesting food, and many other things. I swear, her bad breath was so much better the next day. Also bought something called "greenish", they also have chlorophyll as one of the ingredients. She loves that as a treat.

Today, Cosita seems better. She tried already playing with her toys and ate like a horse as soon as he got up, but she is still walking hunchy. She tried jumping on the couch but couldn't even jump half way of what she normally does (anyway, I stopped it before she would try the second time).

She has been trying to lick her incision whenever she gets a chance. Tried putting the Elizabeth collar but she got very apprehensive, so I put one of her sweaters and that seemed to have stopped it for now.

I hope by the end of the day she becomes more like herself. She is sleeping right now.

Anyone with experience after spaying? Are Cosita's normal symptoms? I have uploaded some pictures.
