For what it's worth, I usually look things up in Consumer Reports Mag. before I buy things. They say for the money they are not impressed w/ it. They tested the Dyson DC14 at $550 they said it was excellent on bare floors but just good on carpet. They recommend the Sears Kenmore Progressive w/ Direct Drive 35922 ( the 35923 is similar) at about $300, for the price it was better on carpet. The Kenmore was scored just as well as the Dyson on emmissions also.
