He looks adorable in his puppy cut, so I'll live if he never has that kind of coat. I'm just curious.
Can someone let me know?

You know Judy, I just don't get it.... My groomer said Chloe's hair was too thin when she was a baby and told me NOT to get the puppy cut for that reason and she reccomended leaving her long. Today She came to groom both Chloe & Sissy, she had to thin Chloe out some, but I was undecided about Sissy, once again she recomended leaving her longer, I asked her why she felt that way and she said to get the puppy cut, her hair was too thin and to achieve the puppy cut, they layer it and she did not think it was "thick" enuf to do that, so we left Sissy long too and she looked so sweet when she came out of her Van.......... So maybe it depends on the groomers opinion

I bet a member who is a groomer may see this and set us both straight
P.S. Sissy is a tomboy (which is why I was going to keep her short before my conversation with the groomer) She looked so sweet once done and within 2 minutes her bow & band was torn out. Chloe always leaves her's in
