I just wanted to write to ask if anyone has ever had a problem with Viral Papilloma with there little furbabies. This is a wart, growth in or around the gum, lips, tongue area.
Babybear got a growth under his tongue about a week and a half after he had his neck fused together. Actually right after he got off his antibiotics. So I took him back to my stupid vet(sorry not happy with them) and he gave me antibiotics for his growth. Babybear wouldn't actually let the vet look at it he tried to bite him. lol I would have if he didn't. They wanted to sadate him again. He has gone through so much I could let them do it. So I gave him the meds and it seem to get smaller. So I took him back for a recheck and they said oh it looks all gone. NOT. So I waited for his surgeon to see him and he told me if it isn't bothering Babybear don't worry about it. Well now it is. So I called today to see what it would cost to have it removed and almost fell on the floor they said 1200.00 this thing isn't even a inch long, but he keeps biting it when he eats. Well I came home and researched growths under tongues and came up with the Viral Papiloma. It looks like a little piece of cawliflour just pink in color. IT says that they will go away on there own in 1 to 5 months. I have never seen anything like this before, but just wanted to know if anyone here has ever delt with it. IF so please let me know.
I wish the train would stop with this little guy. It seems to be one thing after another. But hopefully we are on the right track now. I just made his wheelchair so we are going to attempt walking this weekend. Keep your fingers and toes crossed please.
