What I'm shocked about is how you AND the stud owner don't even know the basics about breeding yorkies. First, the bitch was too small, then the male was much larger than her.
Second, No, 6 weeks is WAY too young to even consider it. She needs to socialize with her brothers, sisters, and even the mom. At this time the puppies go through their nipping and playing stage where they will test their boundaries. When the puppy bites his mother too hard she will LET THEM KNOW IT! If you don't give the puppies the opportunity to learn the basics from their mom, they will never learn it and could end up being a biter.
Now how could you have a stud owner with pick of the litter when this was an "accident?"
Woman to woman I want to ask you a question. I have known a few women who had to go through a c-section and made the choice never to give birth again because the recovery was so painful. As women, we have this choice to make on our own for what we believe is best. If you could ask your female if she'd like to go through this again what do you think she would say? She would more than likely need a c-section again. As dog owners we have to do what is best for them because we make all of the decisions for them. If you love her (which I'm sure you do) and don't want to put her through this painful, terrifying experience again. I hope you really think long and hard and do what is best for her. Also, I hope that you buy some books on breeding, there is always more to learn. I'm sure you can be a great breeder someday, you've been very dedicated so far. You just need research it more and find better dogs to breed. Good luck
I'm also praying that the little puppy didn't suffer as he went to rainbow bridge....
