I looked into cat treats because they are the perfect size for training treats, but I also found that most of them have a protein content of 30% compared to dog treats like Pup-peroni only having 19%. Cat treats also usually contain a lot of liver which isn't good in large amounts (liver is actually on the do not feed list). I just use the Pu-peroni and cut them into pieces - still not great ingredients, but the first ingredient is beef and no by-products. I also use baby food chicken weinnies cut up for training treats. Cereal is also a good treat. |
