On the subject of leaving the yorkie in the car, I have called the police on ignorant people for doing just that. I was shopping one afternoon and noticed a black pom in the rear window of a BLACK car. In 100 Degree weather! The poor thing was panting heavily and in desprate need of cool air. The car's windows were cracked just barely, I commented and went into the store. About 45 minutes later I returned to see the dog still in the car and in terrible condition. I then notified the police they sent an officer over to look for the owner of the car. I didn't stick around to see what happened, but I do know police can take custody of the animal by any means. I feel awful for not calling sooner. People have got to learn you can't leave living things in a car.
I called the police a few weeks back on some idiots that left theirs in their car in what had to be at LEAST 100 degrees in there.
