Congrats on your new baby! Here's what I think as far as helping you.
1. I agree his nails may need to be trimmed...I went to pet mart and asked for the most exsperienced groomer there...CAll aheads!
2. I'm so glad the paper training is going well... It took my pup a month to get trained but he has only had 1 accedent this past month. Isn't it great!
3. It took a week for us to name our little one... take your time and try it out for a day to make sure you like it.
4. My yorkie was 12 weeks when I got him and I feed him 3 times a day. But if yours is only 8 weeks I would think he needs a bit more... I would say ask your vet but I'm guessing about every 4 hours. Chewy only ate about a tablespoon at a feeding if I could get him to eat even that. He is a picky eater and it isn't easy. I would sometimes have to feed him by hand. After they get older they are not at risk of getting hypoglycemic shock so you don't have that worry. Feed him as much as you can in a feeding... I left food and water out all the time.
As for when you leave the house... I crate chewy. I have a water bottle that hooks to the crate and it has the ball in it (Like a rabit water bottle) so he can have water any time he needs it. I also leave dry food to munch on) I would never take the water away. I think it is very important to let them drink any time they need it. Even at night. Chewy has never gone potty in his crate.
I hope this helps... I would call the vet and check about the amount and how often he should eat. God bless you ad your little one... We want to see pics when you can!!!
