Well, Tinka is now 9 months old and her ears don't stand up (even with a long time of taping them) and she is over 8 lbs. and has HUGE cottony hair. She looks like Chewbacca from Star Wars!

Now I'm remembering that the breeder told me someone was going to buy two sisters and then decided on just one and didn't buy the other - the one I bought. I'm wondering if the breeder knew what the dog was going to turn out like. She told me the pup wouldn't be more than 6 lbs. and she also told me her ears would stand up if I taped them. She taped them the first couple of times and then I did it the remainder of the times. I feel like she cheated me, you know?

I love Tinka - she has a wonderful personality and I wouldn't trade her for anything, but it kind of makes me mad about this breeder.

I don't know, just feeling like venting, I guess... I don't like dishonest people.

that sounds almost exactly like what happened to me with Kizzy. But I got her @ 6 weeks old and now hubby thinks she wasnt that old because she didnt have any teeth for a couple of weeks after I got her. Even my vet was surprised when I told him. But she was eating but only food soaked in water which of course she didnt need teeth for that. Does anyone know at what age they usually cut teeth? Anyway, the 4 pounder has turned into an 8 pounder, maybe 9 by now. But she is a smart dog and I love her like she is, altho to me she isnt anything like the parents she showed me to be kizzys. But strange things happen I suppose. I know its hard to tell the size, but I didn think puppies were suppose to be weaned untill they were getting teeth. Maggie was 8 weeks when I got her and she had good teeth and eating regular hard dog food with no problems. I know people that were on this forum before I came probably remember me venting just like you tonight. But dont worry, you may end up with one of the prettiest dogs ever. Kizzy gets prettier to me everyday. But I'm like you, what makes you mad is to feel like you were simply lied to and I still feel the same way about that.
