Welcome to YorkieTalk, Orin! Sorry you lost your lab ... we had a Golden Lab several years ago and he was an absolute sweetheart! Never in my life saw anything that large that wanted so badly to be a "lap dog"!
We rescued him so we totally understood that he probably missed all that cuddling when he was a baby, so we would just hold him and cuddle him and he never tired of it! Have you considered a Yorkie Rescue? There are hundreds that are just "discarded" and wonderful rescue organizations out there who try to place them in good homes. We probably have members here who can tell you how to go about it. Good luck!!
