I would love with all my heart to get a Yorkie. I am 32 years old, no children, no partner, flat with my brother. I am about to go into a shift working position (I am a midwife). My heart yearns to have a puppy and I am thinking of all the benefits from my end of getting one. However my thoughts against this are due to the fact that he may spend some time on his own. Although I would be doing shift work, chances are that my brother would be home to be with him if I wasn't, but that would not always be the case.
I really need some honest opinions here from owners, as to what your views are on leaving their babies at home while they work (if they do!). My mothers advice was if I thought that was a problem, then get two so they can keep each other company!
Please let me know your honest views!!

I only have one little girl and she is around a year old and I work full time and go home at lunch to spend my hour with her as I only work about 10 minutes from home. I thought about getting two at first but my breeder told me one to start out and get it trained how I want it first and see how that goes. As two can be more than what you have time for, working full time. Well, I am glad I listened as I love my Balli and she is a sweet happy well adjusted little girl. However we both Balli and I, have decided now it is time to get another baby. I can hardly wait!

My breeder said now is a good time as Balli is young enough to still want to play. Plus my breeder doesn't let the puppies leave until about 4 months. As she spays and nueters them first. Something I do not have to worry about.
