I made a vet appt for sunday because my vet is closed saturday. I know...odd schedule. I spoke with them several times today and we have came to the conclusion that I will give him 1/4 tablet of children's benadryl for now to stop his itching and switch his diet to chicken and rice until I go in sunday.
I took a look at his itchy area and there are no longer bumps but redness. I'm assuming that its from his scratching it.
These have been the changes recently that Ithink may have caused this reaction:
1. he was groomed last Sunday...he started scratching tuesday/wednesday.
2. I started to give him missing link plus (I think this is causing the diarrhea)
3. I started putting cowboy magic detangler on him that may have caused an allergic reaction?
I am bringing all of these to the vet on sunday but hopefully he is better by then. I just gave him the benadryl in hopes that he will not itch throughout the night
