I'm so sorry your going through this! I take my daughter to the sitter 12 hours a week so I can go to school & I always make sure I have paid her, most of the time paying in advance.
I wouldn't pay her daycare. If she is getting the state to pay for it why would she want to leave you if she is having to pay out of pocket for other places? And even if she does leave you, I'm sure you could put an ad in the paper or at Wal-Mart even about a daycare opening & I'm sure it would be filled very quick!
