I got Little Bit at 9 weeks and not even a pound but I stayed with her 24 hours a day. I didn't even leave her alone to go to the grocery store. I gave her Nutrical regularly and mixed her food with puppy formula for the first week.
She did get coccidiosis and received treatment for that & we went to the vet just about every week to get her shots because I insisted on her getting them one at a time. I did let her get the Lepto shot because my vet just insisted despite my reluctance. She is 5 months old and still hasn't gotten her rabies shot.
We did have another problem that I have not heard mentioned on here. It seemed to cause her a lot of pain to have a bowel movement. We still give her just a little Lax Aire every few days. The vet told me to wean her from it but if she doesn't get it after a few days, she will just cry and run around in circles when she needs to potty. Aside from not wanting her to be in pain, it also makes the potty training sort of difficult.
Good luck on your baby. It can be done. Your puppy will just need you a lot more for the first few weeks. Just watch her gums and energy level real close. I would only let Little Bit out for a short play time and then put her back in her bed to take a nap.
