I adopted Jack when he was 10, and I wouldn't trade a single day. He doesn't like to wrestle around with my 2-year-old, but they are still buds. I think he taught both Eddie and me that you don't have to be a holy terror to be fun.

He needed a $1,000+ surgery when I got him, and I told myself if he lived a year it would be like paying $3 a day. He's been worth much more than that, and every day is a blessing.
